However, in this project, the Government stipulates that this is a compulsory condition for each contractor and investor in the process of designing and building new roads and highways.

Vietnam currently has more than a dozen highways and nearly 130 national highways from North to South, but only a few routes have cameras installed. Highway Noi Bai – Lao Cai is 262 km long, with 110 surveillance cameras; HCM City – Trung Luong expressway is 61.9 km long with 11 cameras; Expressway Da Nang – Quang Ngai 130 km long, installed 78 cameras.

Highway 1A section of Nghe An – Ha Tinh – Quang Binh is 330 km long with 90 cameras; The section from Ho Chi Minh City – Dong Nai has installed 43 cameras.

In Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, there are also systems with thousands of penalty cameras, security cameras, and traffic cameras put into operation many years ago, but only concentrated in the central and key streets.
